Upfront Payment FAQ

  • What is the Upfront Payment Platform? 
    • Allows schools to manage their one-time payments on the Climb platform. Payment sent to school as soon as student completes it.
  • How do students make a payment? Which payment methods does Climb accept?
    • Credit and debit card, ACH
  • Will students have their credit checked?  (soft-pull or hard-inquiry)
    • This is a non-loan payment option, so no credit check is completed. 
  • What is the APR?
    • 0%
  • What is the annual fee?
    • No fees for the student
    • For a small fee, Climb handles all collections and payment management.
  • What are the repayment terms?
    • This is a single, one-time payment.
  • What happens if a payment is missed?
    • In the School Portal, you will see all payment attempts and what happens to the payment throughout the entire cycle.

  • How do students apply?
    • There is no application process. You will provide the payment link to the student to make the payment.
